gate (underground). Walk south about 50 m and take the escalator in
front of “Nana-chan,” the huge mannequin, to get to the Meitetsu Bus

Nagashima Spa Land is a major amusement park in Mie Prefecture featuring a water park and onsen. Nagashima Spaland, reputed to be the best amusement park for roller coasters in Japan, is the main attraction of the resort. The park is filled with over fifty rides, ranging from gentle ones suitable for children to outrageous ones for those looking to spend some exhilarating moments. Immediately noticeable even before entering the main gate is the Steel Dragon 2000, a gigantic roller coaster ride which spans the entire length of the park. The park area consists of many roller coasters, Ferris wheel, and attractions. The rides range from super thrilling rides including the Steel Dragon 2000 to more kid-friendly attractions in the Kids Town. All of the amazing attractions that bring kids' dreams and spirit of adventure to life. Kids Square is for kids of all age.

Also within the Nagashima Spaland grounds is a full-featured water park, named Nagashima jumbo ocean water pool. The water park is densely packed with water slides and swimming pools (including a wave pool), but is open only in the summer.
There is a Three world's biggest water sliders. It is "Boomerang Twist","bigone slider" and "Tornado slider" there.The Boomerang Twist is like a gigantic slide wherein a big rubber boat which is a 6-seater would be soaring and diving into the steep slides and tunnels. It makes for a much more intense ride; as it has a maximum drop of 68°. However, one must be at least 120 cm in height to enjoy this wonderful ride. There are the pool where is more than ten kinds in a jumbo ocean water pool and water sliders more than 50 kinds on 75,000 square meters of sites.This is one of the world's largest scales.

Nagoya Anpanman Children`s Museum and Park
This is a museum and a park where the world of Anpanman unfolds. Nagoya Anpanman Children's Museum & Park opened, in April 2010, right next door to Nagashima Spaland. Nagoya Anpanman Children's Museum & Park is true to the character Anpanman's message of love and bravery", "friendship and kindness". This is a magical place that puts a big smile on children's faces. If s a place where moms and dads and the whole family can relax and enjoy the fun.The Anpanman diorama inside the museum is packed with things to see, touch and play with. There are multiple Anpanman performances inside the Yanase Takashi Theater every day. There is Anpanman affiliated play equipment laid out in the outdoor park under the blue sky, and there are nine stores for shopping and dining where visitors can enjoy meals and limited edition goods. This is a dream-like space where Anpanman`s messages of ‶love and courage″as well as ‶kindness and friendship ″are transmitted.

Nagashima Spa "Yuami no Shima"
Nagashima Spa "Yuami no Shima", an outstanding hot spring bath complex which offers a wide array of indoor and outdoor baths set in man-made nature. In addition, parents and other adults who just want to relax and enjoy a peaceful ambience, Nagashima Spa also have Natural Outdoor Baths at the Nagashima Spa: Yuami no Shima. In here, they can choose between the River Water Bath or the Great Stone Bath.The baths are divided into two large sections for each gender with beautifully recreated scenery from the Kurobe Gorge (usually designated as the men's bath) and Oirase Stream (usually the women's bath). Also available are jacuzzis, saunas, massage services and restaurants.Pursuing spacious relaxation, there are 17 kinds of unique outdoor baths including outdoor baths where you can enjoy splendid views of nature on the grounds and indoor baths separate for men and women. Nabana no Sato
Nabana no Sato is a theme park dedicated to flowers. Located on the island of Nagashima in Kuwana City, the park is famous for its seasonal flower shows. While I do enjoy the beautiful flowers on display the highlight for me every year is the illuminations. Nabana no Sato can claim to have one of the biggest and best illumination displays in all of Japan.
Nabana-no-Sato is a large oasis where rich nature and various facilities exists in harmony. In the big greenhouse named "Flower Garden of the Andes-Begonia Garden," beautiful flowers bloom all year around. In "Sato-no-Yu," there is a large garden and an outdoor bath. There is also a "Nagashima Beer Garden" where local beer is served. Please enjoy a peaceful time here.
While every one do enjoy the beautiful flowers on display the highlight for us every year is the illuminations. Nabana no Sato can claim to have one of the Biggest and best illumination displays in all of Japan.
The theme of the displays changes from year to year. Last year the theme was “Nature” featuring a giant LED illuminated model of the Nature of Alps in Switzerland. This year, the main display and theme is “The beauty of mother nature”.
It is “The beauty of mother nature”. such as The Monument Valley in the United States and The Antarctic Continent,The African Continent, The Plitvice Lakes National Park of the Eurasian continent, "TANADA" Rice Terraces in Japan.
The huge scale illumination of “The beauty of mother nature” is stunning at about 30 meters in height and 155 meters in width.

Entry to the park is ¥2,300 during illumination, which includes an in-store coupon of ¥1,000 to use within the park. This can be used to purchase some souvenirs at the shops, or even used to put towards a meal at one of the many restaurants around the park.
Access:
From Nagoya you can take either a JR or Kintetsu train to Nagashima Station. Take a non-stop direct bus to Nabana no Sato (なばなの里) from Kintetsu Nagashima Station bus rotary. Buses run every 20-60 minutes or so and it’s about a 10 minute ride and ¥220 one-way.
If you’re coming by car from Nagoya both Route 23 and Route 1 cross the island of Nagashima. Once on the island, follow signs for Nabana no Sato.
By expressway,
The Higashi Meihan Expressway (東名阪自動車道) crosses the island of Nagashima. Get off at the Nagashima Interchange (長島IC) and follow the signs to the park.

The Isewangan Expressway (伊勢湾岸自動車道) crosses the island of Nagashima. Get off at the Wangan Nagashima Interchange (湾岸長島IC) and Turn left, go straight and follow the signs to the park.
On certain days a shuttle bus operates between the parking area of the Nagashima Spaland area and Nabana no Sato. Check in advance.
Located at a distance apart from the other attractions (about 15 minutes by bus from Nagashima Spaland) is Nabana no Sato theme park. The park which provides great views of seasonal flowers throughout the year. Every spring, it hosts a flower festival. Illumination of the events will be held during the winter. which is claimed to be of the largest scale in Japan.
Enjoy a stroll through the grounds bursting with seasonal flowers and shrubbery. No matter the season, it has something for you to see. Whether it is the fields of tulips in the spring, an ocean of hydrangeas and irises in early summer, or a carpet of cosmoses and dahlias in the fall, there are always new blooms of color awaiting you. However, from November to early-May. instead of flowers, the park comes alive at night with winter night lights.
A giant green house, known as Begonia garden has a large display of potted Begonia plants throughout the year. Entrance is charged separately for the Begonia Garden.
The Kawazu-zakura cherry blossoms have become famous as some of the earliest-blooming cherry blossoms in Japan . (Typically, cherry trees bloom in Nabana-no-sato between late Februaryate and late March.)
The outstanding characteristics of Kawazu-zakura are its large petals and the bright pink color. There are 300 cherry trees in Kawazu. "The Kawazu-zakura Cherry Blossom Festival" is held during the blooming season and visited by many of Japanese and foreign tourists.
